Watson Bluetooth Communications Video Tutorial

Update: This blog post was missing from our website, it is now reposted!

Watson Industries is offering wireless communications for most of our digital sensors using Bluetooth technology! For most of our units, it is as simple as attaching the Serial to Bluetooth Module (SBM) to the 9 pin RS-232 serial data port. Contact Watson Industries to see if your sensor is Bluetooth capable!

The video tutorial will walk you through the steps necessary to connect to a Watson gyro sensor using Bluetooth and an Android device or a Windows PC. We have also posted a manual for the SBM on our website.

If you’re using an Android device, we recommend downloading the BlueTerm App from the Google Play store. This free App has everything you’ll need to communicate to your Watson sensor wirelessly.

If you’re using a Windows PC, you can use any sort or terminal software you would like. At our factory, we use our own software called Watson Terminal which is available for download in the software section.
